Precog is built to be played privately. Your predictions are graded on your device and are never sent to a server for grading. The app uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking, and does not sell your personal data.

On-device grading

When you make a prediction, it is scored entirely on your device — using Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) where available, otherwise an on-device embedding model. The text of your guess is not transmitted to us or any third party for grading, and your prediction history and stats are stored locally on your device.

Daily images

Each day's images and their sealed commitments are pre-generated ahead of time and downloaded from a static content feed (hosted on Vercel). Downloading them is an ordinary network request — which, like any download, involves your device's IP address — but it carries no personal information about you and creates no account.

Endless practice (Krea)

The optional Endless practice mode requests on-demand images from a third-party provider, Krea, using prompts supplied by the app. These requests are not tied to your identity. Krea's handling of the requests it receives is governed by Krea's own privacy policy.

Game Center & iCloud (optional)

The global leaderboard, achievements and cross-device sync use Apple's Game Center and iCloud/CloudKit, and only if you are signed in to those services and choose to participate. If you join the global leaderboard, your Game Center handle and score may be shared so your ranking can be shown to other players. Local play, stats and streaks work without any account and remain on your device.

Purchases

The optional one-time Precog Unlimited unlock is sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we do not receive or store your payment details.

Analytics & tracking

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites and does not use the device advertising identifier. Apple may share aggregate, anonymized crash and usage diagnostics with us only if you have opted in to sharing them with developers in your iOS settings.

Children

The app is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information beyond the optional Game Center and iCloud participation described above.
